Primary Food- PHYSICAL, Mental, and Social-Emotional

Physical activity is one piece of our primary food. Physical activity and movement are essential to the health of any body, from the cellular level to disease prevention. When we create a lifestyle that supports physical activity we feel healthy and energized. We can also perform and function well.

When gray winter hits us here in Missoula, MT, let's remember to get our activity in. I'm still dreaming of this ridge run near Fischer Peak in the Swan Range.

REMINDER: The World Health Organization recommends as a minimum, adults aged 18–64, should do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity throughout the week or do at least 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity throughout the week or an equivalent combination of moderate- and vigorous-intensity activity.

Are you getting your physical activity in?
